Venture Recruitment Partners is delighted to be partnering with a highly prestigious business in Basingstoke who are going through a period of transformation and looking to recruit a Financial Accountant into a key role within its finance team.
This is far more than a traditional financial accounting position. You'll have ownership of high-profile capital projects, exposure to senior stakeholders, responsibility for key balance sheet areas, and the opportunity to influence financial decision-making across the business.
With a strong succession plan already in place, this role offers genuine long-term career progression and the chance to develop into a more senior leadership position.
ROLE:
• Leading capital and fixed asset accounting activities
• Owning key balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
• Supporting monthly and annual financial reporting
• Partnering with operational and project teams on major investment initiatives
• Driving process improvements and strengthening financial governance
• Acting as a key contact for audit and compliance activities
• Mentoring and developing a junior member of the team
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA qualified (or finalist)
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve processes
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
