Job Summary
We are seeking a Finance Operations Executive/Analyst with experience in the Shipping, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, or Maritime industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in finance operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), month-end closing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and record-to-report (R2R) processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
- Perform invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor/customer reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain General Ledger (GL) entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and management reports.
- Handle Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
- Ensure accurate accounting records and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors/customers to resolve finance-related issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Support audits and maintain proper financial documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in Finance Operations within the Shipping, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, Maritime, or Port Operations industry.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- General Ledger (GL)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Month-end Close
- Financial Reporting
- Bank and Account Reconciliations
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar finance platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
