Role Description The Finance Officer role at Job Connect is a full-time, on-site position based in Harare. The Finance Officer will manage day-to-day financial operations, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining accurate accounting records, and overseeing accounts payable and receivable. This role will support budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor cash flow, and assist in financial planning to ensure effective resource allocation. The Finance Officer will also handle financial reporting to internal stakeholders, ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies, and support internal and external audits. Collaboration with other departments to provide financial insights and clear communication on financial performance will be a key part of the role.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Reporting skills, including experience preparing and interpreting financial statements.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and decision-making.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.
- Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a corporate or fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work to deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, tax requirements, and best practices in financial control and reporting.
