Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Manager – Controllership to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, compliance, and internal controls. The role requires strong expertise in financial governance, process management, and ensuring accuracy in financial records and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures
  • Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and reconciliations
  • Oversee general ledger accounting and financial reporting processes
  • Monitor revenue recognition, accruals, provisions, and expense accounting

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Companies Act, and other statutory requirements
  • Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities for audits and filings
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies

Controllership & Internal Controls

  • Develop and strengthen internal financial controls, SOPs, and approval processes
  • Identify financial risks, process gaps, and areas for operational improvement
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts, vendor balances, and intercompany transactions

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

  • Track actuals vs budget and analyze key variances
  • Support leadership with financial insights, reporting, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Partner with business teams to improve financial efficiency and governance

Inventory Management & Controls

  • Monitor inventory accounting, valuation, and reconciliation processes
  • Ensure accurate tracking of inventory movement across warehouses and channels
  • Coordinate with operations and supply chain teams to maintain inventory accuracy and controls
  • Identify discrepancies, leakage, and process gaps related to inventory management

Import-Export Compliance

  • Manage and oversee import-export finance and compliance activities
  • Ensure timely processing and compliance of import/export documentation
  • Coordinate with customs agents, freight forwarders, banks, and regulatory authorities
  • Monitor duties, taxes, and statutory compliance related to cross-border transactions
  • Ensure adherence to FEMA, DGFT, and other applicable regulatory requirements

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations, procurement, HR, and leadership
  • Support finance automation and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • CA / MBA Finance / equivalent qualification
  • 4–6 years of experience in controllership, accounting, audit, or financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance
  • Experience in handling audits, GST/TDS compliances, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP tools such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Zoho, or Tally
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments
  • Exposure to automation and finance process optimization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setup
