Salary: $129,302.00 to $136,089.00 per annum plus superannuation
About the Role:
As a member of the Corporation, you will support the planning, development and delivery of complex, high‑profile projects that contribute to the long‑term vision for Macquarie Point. This is a rare opportunity to influence major urban outcomes, navigate multi‑stakeholder environments and make a genuine impact on Tasmania’s future.
Duties:
- Provide financial support across all phases of project development, master planning processes and commercial strategies from concept to delivery.
- Lead day-to-day engagement with Department of State Growth’s finance team, ensuring collaborative and effective partnerships.
- Develop and maintain Corporation’s budget, financial and accounting systems, providing effective reporting and advice to Corporations Board and Executive.
- Ensure Corporation complies with current legislative requirements for public sector financial management and Australian accounting standards.
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for someone with:
- Highly developed experience in Budget and Financial management, particularly in a commercial environment across complex public, private or precinct development projects.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills with the proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities including management of financial, human and physical resources.
- The ability to analyse complex financial and budget management issues in a changing, politically aware environment and provide strategic recommendations to Executives.
- Knowledge of — or the ability to quickly acquire — Public entity financing and reporting requirements, with a focus on accuracy of information.
- Formal accounting qualifications and experience (desirable).
