Finance Manager

At éirconnect, we are building one of Ireland’s fastest-growing business telecommunications providers. As we continue to scale, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of the company's finance function and help drive financial performance across the business.
This is a senior, hands-on role where you will manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business while providing strategic financial insight to the leadership team.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will have full responsibility for the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong cash flow management, robust financial controls, and efficient billing and collections processes.
You will work closely with senior management to support decision-making and ensure the business is operating efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Full ownership of the company's finance function
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Production and analysis of profit & loss accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Cash flow forecasting and management
- Budget preparation and financial planning
- Financial reporting to senior leadership
- Monitoring company performance against budgets and forecasts
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
- Management of customer invoicing and billing processes
- Monitoring debtor ledgers and aged debt reports
- Credit control and collections management
- Resolving billing disputes and customer account queries
- Improving cash collection performance across the business
Accounts Payable
- Managing supplier invoices and payment runs
- Maintaining supplier relationships
- Ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Reviewing and approving expenses
Payroll & Compliance
- Oversight of payroll processes
- Revenue, VAT and tax compliance
- Liaising with external accountants, auditors and advisors
- Ensuring adherence to all financial controls and procedures
Process Improvement
- Developing and implementing financial processes and controls
- Driving efficiencies through automation and technology
- Managing financial data integrity across multiple systems
- Supporting business growth through improved reporting and analysis
Commercial Support
- Providing financial insight to support business decisions
- Assisting with pricing, margin analysis and profitability reviews
- Supporting commercial contract reviews and supplier negotiations
- Producing KPI dashboards and management reports
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Finance Professional
- Strong understanding of management accounts, P&L reporting and cash flow management
- Experience managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across the business
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Highly Desirable
- Experience using Zoho One, particularly:
- Zoho Books
- Zoho CRM
- Zoho Expense
- Zoho Subscriptions
- Experience within telecommunications, technology, SaaS or subscription-based businesses
- Experience managing recurring revenue and direct debit billing models
