Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Finance Manager located in Kincardine, ON. The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and optimizing financial processes. Additional responsibilities include conducting analyses to support strategic decision-making, preparing financial statements, and leading accounting team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide oversight and review of month-end and year-end financial outputs
· Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
· Ensure financial reporting aligns with Canadian accounting standards and company accounting policies
· Support consolidated financial reporting across multiple legal entities
· Supports the annual budgeting process across various stores and legal entities, in collaboration with leadership
· Overseas rolling financial forecasts
· Prepare and analyze variance reporting, identifying key drivers, trends and emerging risks
· Develop cash flow forecasts
· Responsible for the monthly bank reporting
· Oversees the weekly bank reporting
· Responsible for presenting the monthly financial statements to leadership
· Support year-end audit and review processes in coordination with external accountants
· Review working papers and financial statements prepared by the finance team
· Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings and compliance support (HST, payroll, WSIB etc)
· Back up for the bi-weekly payroll
· Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting clarity, and process efficiency
· Help develop scalable financial processes to support organizational growth
· Update and implement various processes and procedures related to the finance functions
· Assist in the development and maintenance of strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
· Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications
- Demonstrated strength in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards, multi-entity structures, consolidations and full-cycle accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, compliance, and audit practices
- Experience in team management and leadership
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation
- Travel may be required
