Finance Manager – Manufacturing | Germany

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading global manufacturer to recruit an experienced Finance Manager for one of its key production sites in Germany. This is an excellent opportunity to join an international organization that values operational excellence, continuous improvement, and employee development.

As a member of the site leadership team, you will lead all site-level finance activities, including financial reporting, planning, compliance, and business partnering. You will collaborate closely with shared services and regional finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting while supporting strategic business decisions and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the manufacturing site in partnership with the Global Business Services (GBS) team.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements, tax filings, and VAT returns in accordance with German regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and corporate accounting policies.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Partner with the Site General Manager and leadership team to provide financial insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate capital investment opportunities, product profitability, and business performance.
  • Support finance transformation, process improvement, and digitalization initiatives across regional and global teams.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 7 years' progressive finance experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP with a good understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience with statutory reporting, tax compliance, and VAT requirements.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Experience working within multinational organizations and shared service environments is preferred.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
