Title: Finance Manager

About Energy Communications

Energy Communications is a well-established marketing company with offices in Dublin and London, and our head office based in Dublin. We work with a client base that includes many large multinationals, delivering marketing expertise and event management that helps leading organisations connect with their audiences.

About the role

Due to rapid growth and expansion Energy Communications is looking for an Accountant to join our finance team at our Sandymount office, with hybrid working available. This is a hands-on role with broad ownership across the finance function — from preparing the monthly management accounts and reconciliations through to VAT returns, accounts receivable and payable, and supporting our procurement activity.

You will take day-to-day responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of the company's accounts, with scope to develop the role and take on additional responsibilities over time.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Completing bank reconciliations across all company accounts
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with filing deadlines
  • Project Accounting and managing revenue recognition and project reporting
  • Preparation of and variance tracking of budgets
  • Managing accounts receivable — raising invoices, allocating receipts, and following up on outstanding balances
  • Managing accounts payable — processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and preparing payment runs
  • Supporting procurement and purchasing, including raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers
  • Develop weekly KPI reporting and exception tracking.
  • Assisting with ad hoc reporting and finance projects as the role develops

What we're looking for

  • Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent
  • Experience preparing management accounts
  • Good working knowledge of accounting ERP software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well organised, able to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • A proactive, willing attitude and a genuine interest in developing as an accountant

What we offer

  • Salary range — to €50000-€65,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working, based at our Sandymount office
