Finance Manager
Due to the continued growth and expansion of our operations, we are seeking to recruit a motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join our team.
The selected candidate will oversee the company’s financial operations while leading and supporting the Finance Team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the company
- Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately, efficiently, and in line with accepted accounting standards and legal requirements
- Maintain and monitor effective internal control systems, ensuring all approval and authorisation procedures are followed
- Prepare monthly management accounts in a timely manner and assist in analysing financial results and budget variances
- Liaise with government departments, tax authorities, and external stakeholders
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and related statutory filings within established deadlines
- Ensure compliance with Maltese tax legislation, accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process and assist in the preparation of annual financial statements
- Support the continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting procedures
- Carry out any additional duties related to the role as required from time to time
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ local accounting experience
- Fully qualified and warranted Accountant
- Strong knowledge of Maltese tax legislation and accounting practices
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- Proficiency in both English and Maltese, written and spoken
