Our client is a well established small sized real estate company, and is seeking a Finance Manager to manage financial operations and act as a key commercial partner to the leadership team. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between complex real estate financials and on-the-ground business strategy, driving profitability across property portfolio and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate with the executive team and department heads to translate strategic real estate goals into actionable financial plans
- Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and commercial advice to guide investment, leasing, and operational decisions
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning processes for all real estate assets
- Develop robust financial models for potential acquisitions, developments, and capital expenditure projects
- Monitor portfolio performance against KPIs, market benchmarks, and budget targets
Real Estate Financial Management
- Oversee property-level accounting, including rent rolls, tenant billing, lease abstraction compliance, and CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations
- Manage cash flow forecasting, ensuring adequate liquidity for property operations and upcoming development pipelines
- Oversee tax compliance, local statutory reporting, and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is essential.
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive financial management experience, with a strong focus on the real estate industry (property management, development, or investment)
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated success in a business partnering capacity, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is preferred for regional stakeholder engagement
