About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of a growing professional services firm. This hands-on role oversees financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, strategic planning support, and continuous process improvements across multiple business units. This role could easily turn in to a CFO role in the next 5 years.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations including ledger management, AP/AR, cash flow, and reconciliations.
Lead preparation of budgets, forecasts, and rolling financial models.
Deliver accurate monthly management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Ensure timely compliance with BAS, GST, PAYG, payroll tax, and statutory obligations.
Process and oversee fortnightly/monthly payroll and maintain employee financial records.
Drive financial analysis to support strategic business decisions and investment planning.
Maintain and enhance internal financial controls and operational efficiencies.
Advise Directors on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CA qualified, ideally top 4
5+ years’ experience in financial management or senior accounting roles.
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Proficient with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, ERP systems) and advanced Excel.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
