We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Finance Manager to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the major banks.
Employment Term: contract to hire, 6 months contract to start and then FTE
Location: 2 days hybrid
Key Accountabilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
• Lead and oversee budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and in-year outlooks across technology and operations portfolios.
• Manage working plan transfers, funding reallocations, and financial inputs required for leadership reviews.
• Review and challenge forecasts, variance analysis, and financial assumptions prepared by the team.
Month-End / BD Cycle Management
• Own the end-to-end month-end (BD) cycle, including accruals, actuals validation, reconciliations, and reporting
submissions.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end close in partnership with Technology Finance and stakeholders.
• Resolve data gaps, discrepancies, and issues arising during the BD cycle.
Financial Governance & Controls
• Ensure compliance with enterprise financial policies, controls, and governance standards.
• Maintain appropriate documentation, approvals, and audit artefacts.
• Support internal and external audits through analysis and provision of materials.
Vendor & Spend Oversight
• Provide oversight of vendor financials across T&M;, fixed price, and other delivery models.
• Review PO funding, SOW financial tracking, and extensions.
• Monitor run-rates, burn, and funding sufficiency, escalating risks as required.
People Leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of financial analysts.
• Set objectives, provide regular performance feedback, and support capability development.
• Foster strong financial discipline and accountability across the team
Qualifications
• Significant experience in financial management, technology finance, or portfolio financial oversight within a large enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing the month-end / BD close cycle, including accruals and forecasting.
• Prior people management experience with a focus on coaching and development.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
