This newly created Finance Manager role for a Insurance Start Up paying £80,000 to £100,000 depending on experience with a Discretionary bonus, based in Heart of the City on a Permanent basis and operate 2 days in the office policy.
Role
As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with the CFO who is all about internal growth and development. Please find a brief outline of the role below:
- Complete month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments, and journals
- Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce management information with detailed variance analysis to PY and Budgets
- Liaise with auditors and support annual audit processes
- Work closely with the Actuarial and Operations teams to ensure consistency in accuracy of data into the finance system
- Maintain the finance system ensuring integrity of data, approvals processes and user management
- Work with the Technology department to send data from the finance system to other systems and servers
- Maintain the integration between the operations software, the people software, the expenses software and the finance system
Profile
The Finance Manager for this Insurance firm is ideally for the below
- Somone from a Start Up/ SME insurance business- ideally an MGA but will also look at a underwritten and brokerage
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
- Happy to work in a sole role building a function
- Evidence of Process Improvement/ system implementation

This is the pivotal hire for the insurance firm as will be a sole role and help build the function
