About the Role
The Finance Manager will lead the full finance function for one entity within the international organisation, reporting to the global VP Finance. You will manage a team of finance professionals, taking ownership of accounting, reporting, cash flow, taxation, and compliance, and making independent operational finance decisions across the entity.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial activities of the entity, including Revenue, Receivables, Payables, Cash/Banking, General Ledger, Payments, Cash Flow Management, Taxation, and Financial Reporting
- Ensure proper screening, processing, and recording of invoices and claims in line with payment terms
- Manage credit control processes and proactively oversee debtor management to mitigate credit risk and ensure timely collections
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of periodic financial reports to Head Office for global reporting purposes
- Ensure compliance with IFRS principles, financial policies, and local statutory requirements (including VAT and corporate tax obligations)
- Liaise with external and internal auditors and ensure timely remediation of audit findings
- Review financial systems and procedures and recommend improvements or automation initiatives in coordination with Finance
- Provide critical financial insights and updates to Senior Management to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Submit special reports and recommendations to Organisation Finance on significant financial developments
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of 5–6 finance specialists (finance officers and finance executives)
- Liaise with other departments, Head Office, banks, auditors, suppliers, customers, local authorities, and other relevant stakeholders
- Participate in assigned internal projects
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in financial management roles within international or multi-entity organizations
- Experience managing a finance / accounting team
- Hands-on experience with full-scope finance operations (AR/AP, cash flow, taxation, financial reporting)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS
- ACCA qualification or a recognized University degree in Accounting
- Experience within a multi-entity structure with cross-border transactions
- Good knowledge of local and cross-border VAT and tax regulations
- Experience liaising with auditors and managing statutory compliance
- Proficiency with ERP and reporting systems
- Strong analytical and leadership skills with the ability to work to strict reporting deadlines
