We are seeking a driven and hands-on Finance Lead to support and oversee the financial operations of the company. Main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the billing and credit control functions, ensuring timely invoicing, effective debt collection, and minimisation of credit risk.
- Oversee and manage general accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and systems, including the maintenance of accounting records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Supervise the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Assist in overseeing the preparation of year-end financial statements and manage the audit process, addressing queries arising from auditors.
- Prepare financial and management reports, variance analysis, and other financial documentation for senior management, the Board, and regulatory compliance on a quarterly basis, or as required by the Board.
- Prepare cash flow forecast statements to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Prepare budgets, collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Liaise with banks, external auditors, advisors and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and improve the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. contributing to improved financial efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to established filing systems and records retention policies, maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Perform any other duties that may be required from time to time, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Possess a Finance Degree, ACCA or a similar professional qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance-related role.
- Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with data analysis and financial closure processes.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Strong understanding of IAS and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experienced with accounting software.
- Solid grasp of financial processes including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
- Skilled in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, diligent, and capable of working independently while contributing to team success.
- Adaptable and eager to learn, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
