We are looking for a highly skilled and driven individual to become part of our Finance Department as a Finance Executive. This position will be located in Kiunga, Western Province. Reporting to the Finance Manager, General Manager and Regional General Manager, the Finance Executive is responsible for ensuring all finance functions are executed efficiently. Safeguard cash and stocks including timely reconciliation of flex cards obtained from RDs and ensures banking is done daily with sales details and acquittals sent to SSC Fiji for review and posting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily roadshow stocks and cash by reviewing opening stock and sales vs closing returned stock. Further review against expected sales and any variances to be flagged on immediately to the general manager;
  • Flag long outstanding roadshow stocks to GM and ensure no additional stocks issued to CEs until all outstanding stocks are fully reconciled.
  • Cash-in with CellMoni and/or bank daily takings from roadshow sales and cash signed cheques;
  • Submit Imprest, Petty cash and Opex (CellMoni) acquittals on a weekly basis to POM treasury team to have accounts replenished; ensure correct GL codes are used on the acquittals.
  • Eliminate stock variance issues through investigation and resolution;
  • Timely reporting of daily stock on hand (SOH) and stock movement reports to finance;
  • Conduct and manage month end stock counts in the respective office or region as appropriate.

Academic Qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:

  • Degree/diploma is business, accounting or a related field
  • At least 1-year experience in a similar role
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team and put forward finance improvements

  • Advanced excel skills
  • Ability to present summarized financial information to GMs
