Salary: £35,000 p.a. pro-rata

Location: Slough office/home working hybrid preferred but will consider full remote for great candidates.

Contract: Part-time, 3 days per week initially. Fixed-term contract, minimum 6 Months.  Could lead to a permanent appointment depending on performance. FMCG sector – we are a consumer brand stocked by the major retailers.

As Finance Executive you will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for accounts management & administration, ensuring that financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently. The role supports the day-to-day running of the finance function, with a particular focus on processing transactions, maintaining ledgers, and providing support using Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process sales and purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner using Sage 50.

• Maintain customer and supplier accounts, ensuring records are up to date.

• Perform bank reconciliations and allocate customer payments.

• Manage sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control activities.

• Prepare and update Excel spreadsheets for reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis.

• Handle invoice queries from customers and suppliers professionally and efficiently.

• Support month-end processes by preparing reports and checking account balances.

• Maintain organised digital and paper filing systems for financial records.

• Liaise with internal departments and external contacts regarding finance-related matters.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounts administration, finance administration, or similar office-based role.

• Knowledge of accounting systems. Sage 50 experience would be an advantage.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to manage spreadsheets and perform basic data analysis.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.

• Confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Word.
