Finance Director – Shared Services
Summary: We are partnering with a rapidly growing mid-sized global company on a Finance Director, Shared Services search. The is responsible for consolidating financial insights across business units to provide a comprehensive view of organizational performance, risks, and opportunities. This role partners closely with the CFO and executive leadership to manage budgeting, forecasting, enterprise KPIs, and financial operations, while ensuring strong accounting processes, controls, and financial infrastructure.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Compensation: $195,000 – $210,000 + 30% bonus
Hybrid Flexibility: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Duties:
FP&A /Finance
- Develop long-range financial plans, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts aligned with business objectives
- Manage the company-wide budgeting process, including timelines, guidance, consolidation, and performance tracking
- Provide enterprise-level financial insights by consolidating inputs across business units
- Deliver scenario modeling, forecasting, and risk analysis to support decision-making
- Establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics
- Identify cost optimization, revenue recovery, and working capital improvement opportunities
- Partner with CFO and leadership on capital allocation and strategic initiatives
- Prepare financial reporting and presentations for executive leadership and the board
- Partner with accounting to maintain cash flow visibility and liquidity oversight, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support audits.
Leadership, Process Improvements, & Cross-Functional Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a finance team, including managers and individual contributors
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support financial reporting and business initiatives
- Identify areas for finance function growth and scalability
- Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
- Own and enhance financial systems, tools, and infrastructure (ERP, reporting, data integrity)
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications and Key Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or financial operations
- Strong Excel, financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Experience with process improvement, cost optimization, and KPI development
- Knowledagble of general accounting to understand AP, AR, etc.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and influence stakeholders
- Experience with ERP and planning systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Adaptive, etc.)
- Proven leadership experience managing teams
- Industry experience in manufacturing, retail, CPG, transportation, or technology a plus
