Our client is an international organization with a strong presence across the EMEA region. To support their finance operations, they are looking for a detail-oriented temporary Finance Coordinator to join their team in Amstelveen.

The Role

As a Finance Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing inventory accounting, cost of sales, and reporting for the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business. You will collaborate closely with regional teams and external service providers, ensuring accurate financial reporting while maintaining compliance with internal and external standards.

Key Responsibilities

Review and reconcile inventory transactions, addressing discrepancies as needed.

Monitor inventory management systems and general ledger reconciliations.

Oversee intercompany sales and cost of sales eliminations prior to consolidation.

Analyze standard and actual product costs, accounting for any variances.

Manage inventory shrinkage and associated allowances.

Perform month-end closing activities related to inventory and cost of sales.

Prepare timely product costing and net inventory reports for key stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with SOX requirements for inventory controls.

Record and report DTC revenue in accordance with ASC 606.

Reconcile cash in transit and receivables, resolving any discrepancies.

Support statutory reporting and other ad hoc financial projects.

Your Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or financial reporting roles.

Preferably having US GAAP knowledge and experience with cost accounting.

Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards) and MS Excel.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented while maintaining a broader business perspective.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
