Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to oversee and manage all financial activities for our growing distribution company in Dubai. This senior role is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, internal controls, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in FMCG or distribution finance, excellent analytical skills, and proven leadership in managing finance teams and driving business performance.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Work closely with senior management to align financial plans with business strategy and expansion goals.
- Monitor budget variances, analyze gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support business decisions, pricing strategies, and investment evaluations.
- Track KPIs and financial metrics for different departments, brands, and channels (retail, HoReCa, e-commerce, wholesale).
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Ensure all financial operations comply with UAE regulations, IFRS standards, VAT laws, and company policies.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and audit practices to safeguard assets and reduce financial risk.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and credit control to ensure operational stability and efficiency.
- Optimize inventory, payables, and receivables cycles in collaboration with supply chain and sales teams.
- Oversee bank relationships, facilities, and financing requirements.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Supervise and develop the finance and accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, operations, and executive leadership to support cross-functional projects and cost controls.
- Implement ERP systems and process improvements to enhance accuracy, reporting speed, and financial visibility.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA) is required.
- 5–8 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the FMCG, food, or distribution sector.
- Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, tax (including VAT), and IFRS.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
