We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with proven expertise in managing accounting operations, developing internal control systems, and driving financial strategy. This is a critical leadership role that partners closely with executive management to ensure the financial health of the organization and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity of financial statements.
Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
Collaborate with business units to analyze performance, cost structures, and profitability; provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency.
Ensure compliance with statutory law, financial regulations, and internal policies (including GAAP/IFRS).
Manage external audits and serve as the key liaison with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
Drive process improvements in the finance function through automation, digitization, and best practices.
Provide leadership and mentoring to finance team members to support their professional development.
Support M&A activities including financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger consolidation.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA/CPA/CMA or MBA in Finance is highly desirable.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in financial management, including at least 3 years in a controller or senior finance leadership role.
Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Demonstrated experience in managing accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling tools.
Experience in managing statutory audits, tax filings, and financial compliance processes.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Proven ability to lead and manage a finance team, drive accountability, and foster a high-performance culture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights for non-financial stakeholders.
Experience working in dynamic environments (startups, mid-size companies, or fast-scaling businesses) is a plus
