About the role –
The Finance Business Partner – Loan Market plays a crucial role in LMG’s financial strategy and is critical to supporting high quality data based decision making. As a trusted business partner, the position is responsible for providing financial insights, analysis and support to the CEO of Loan Market, State Directors, and their leadership teams. Working closely with the Group Executive Finance, Risk, and Corporate Strategy, the Finance Business Partner will support the business to drive profitability, improve financial performance, and ensure the achievement of key strategic goals. This role can be performed in Sydney or Brisbane.
Key responsibilities –
- Develop strong relationships across the business, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders to support critical decision making
- In depth financial analysis and reporting – identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to the Executive Committee and Loan Market leadership teams, providing insightful commentary and highlighting key performance areas and variances to be addressed
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Loan Market business, developing high quality forecasts informed by trend analysis and strategic objectives
- Assist in the development of strategic plans through the provision of financial analysis and input, modelling key strategic initiatives and assessing financial feasibility
- Contribute to the development of a strong business partner culture, through coaching and performance management of business partner analysts and the wider FInance team
- Drive process improvements within the finance team to enhance efficiency and accuracy of reporting and budget processes
- Work closely with the Financial Control team to deliver high quality financial reporting and to identify financial risks and mitigation of these
- Ad hoc financial analysis and project and initiative support as required to address specific business matters
Skills and Experience you’ll bring to the role –
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CA qualified
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior finance business partner role, experience in financial services preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience in stakeholder management, bringing clear communication, consulting and advisory skills to support the business
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis
- Proficient in general ledger and financial reporting systems, preferably with experience using the Jedox management accounting platform
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to stretch and develop a team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders
