Spartanburg Housing currently has an opening for a Finance Associate for A/R. This is a full-time position.
Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to generate invoices, apply payments, reconcile accounts, monitor accounts for non-payment, and analyze bad debt.
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
- Deposit all money received for the agency and provide backup.
- Process monthly ACH's by drafting tenant balance due for rent and other charges.
- Post monthly tenant receipts, review resident move-ins, post rent and security deposits, set up late fee billing information.
- Input meter readings for excess utilities, create charges reports monthly.
- Analyze bad depts for both Public Housing and Section 8.
- Prepare quarterly reports for the Board of Directors regarding bad debt write-offs.
- Create and distribute all outside-related invoices for the agency.
Requirements
An associate degree from an accredited college in accounting or finance is preferred, and a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience in accounts payable is required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which, in the sole determination of Spartanburg Housing, provides the required knowledge and abilities, may be considered sufficient.
