POSITION OVERVIEW – FINANCE ASSOCIATE
A real estate firm is looking to hire someone whose financial integrity is a strategic advantage. As Finance Associate, you will sit at the operational heart of our finance function ensuring every transaction is accurately recorded, every report is delivered on time, and every financial decision is backed by reliable data.
This is not a passive, process-following role. You will be expected to own your work, flag issues before they escalate, and bring a continuous improvement mindset to everything you touch. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process, record, and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy across all accounts
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, resolving discrepancies promptly
- Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain structured invoice and payment schedules
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting with clean, reliable outputs
- Monitor cash flow and expenses, identifying unusual patterns early
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for management decision-making
- Maintain audit-ready financial records and support compliance requirements
- Manage financial communications with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce error and strengthen controls
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Financial records maintained with minimal errors and discrepancies resolved within 24–48 hours
- Bank reconciliations completed on time with zero unresolved variances carried forward
- Invoices processed within defined SLAs with no avoidable payment delays
- All financial reports delivered accurately and on schedule
- Zero compliance breaches or audit findings
- Measurable reduction in financial discrepancies quarter-on-quarter
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 1–3 years of hands-on finance or accounting experience
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA, CFA, or equivalent) is a strong advantage
