Are you an experienced Finance Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing organisation on a six-month fixed-term contract, with the exciting possibility of the role becoming permanent.

This Finance Assistant position offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a collaborative Finance team, supporting a diverse range of financial activities while developing your skills within a professional and fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Finance Assistant who enjoys working with accuracy, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to the success of a wider team.

Following the initial six-month fixed-term contract, there may be an opportunity for the successful Finance Assistant to secure a permanent position, subject to business requirements and performance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with bookkeeping, accounts payable, and day-to-day finance administration.
  • Supporting month-end processes, including account reconciliations.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Ensuring high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Providing support to the wider Finance team as required.
  • Assisting with finance-related reporting and administrative activities.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

About You

The ideal Finance Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or in a similar finance role.
  • A strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to process high volumes of work accurately.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
  • Experience within a legal, professional services, or regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Hybrid Working
