Operating at the intersection of operations and finance, this role supports the growth of a new revenue stream through the utilisation of the company’s bonded warehouse capacity across storage and 3PL opportunities. The role is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of transactional finance activities, including calculating customer-specific deal costs, raising customer invoices, and supporting accounts payable and receivable processes related to these operations, ensuring financial accuracy, process efficiency, and strong control across all transactions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing scalable financial processes for this new revenue stream, ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and strong collaboration across commercial, operations, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Billing & Revenue Administration
- Generate accurate and timely customer invoices based on contractual terms and operational data.
- Ensure billing aligns with agreed pricing models, service levels, and usage metrics.
- Reconcile billing data with operational records and resolve discrepancies, responding to queries from stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Support revenue tracking and reporting for the Operations Director.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate coding, approvals, and payment processing and payment receipt.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Support
- Assist with the processing and reconciliation of supplier invoices related to all business activities.
- Supporting the invoicing team as required based on business requirements.
- Support supplier cost analysis and variance investigations.
Process Development & Controls
- Help design and implement scalable financial processes for the new revenue stream.
- Improve documentation, controls, and reporting related to deal costing, billing, and supplier payments.
- Support finance and leadership with reporting and analysis related to 3PL profitability.
About you
- Hands-on experience working across accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including supplier invoice validation, customer invoicing, and financial reconciliations.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Experience working with invoicing, cost reconciliation, or accounts payable processes.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple data sources.
- Strong Excel or spreadsheet modelling skills.
- Ability to collaborate across finance and operation teams.
- Highly detail-oriented and organised
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment
- Strong problem-solving mindset
- Proactive in improving processes and financial controls
