Role Summary
We are looking for a Finance Assistant / Assistant Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help to run and support the day-to-day finance operations of the business. Collaborating closely with various teams within the organisation, including Sales & Marketing and Operations, you will also be a key point of contact for customers and suppliers.
Role Responsibilities
- Support in preparing and submitting monthly management reporting to Group
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations, including analysis, investigation, and resolution of reconciling items
- Accurate recording and posting of banking transactions and any other relevant journals
- Supporting the Finance Manager with the annual audit
- Approving and processing expenses and mileage claims
- Processing supplier invoices and scheduling payment runs
- Management of customer credit control and credit insurance process
- VAT and EC sales listing submissions to ROS
- Business administration duties; including maintaining and assisting with the renewing of contracts for company fleet, utilities and other indirect costs
- Other ad hoc finance projects and reporting
Profile
- AAT or similar and looking to progress their accounting qualifications, CIMA preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar position is essential.
- Experience of SAP or similar ERP systems would be advantageous.
- Competent with Excel; working knowledge of XLOOKUP, SUMIF and pivot tables.
- Strong communication skills, a good team player and excellent attention to detail.
