Role Description

The Finance and Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational and financial activities of the firm, ensuring efficiency, financial accuracy, and strong internal control.

The role combines operational execution, accounting oversight, and client management, and serves as the central coordination point for business activities across the company.

The individual will manage core functions including financial reporting, invoicing, payroll administration, and receivables, while also ensuring seamless execution of client engagements and internal processes. In addition, the role requires hands-on management of the company’s Sage Accounting system, ensuring accurate data entry, reporting, and system integrity. The Operations & Finance Manager will also serve as a key interface between the company and its clients on financial and operational matters, ensuring timely delivery, professional engagement, and high client satisfaction.This role reports directly to the Managing Director and plays a critical role in ensuring that the company operates efficiently, maintains financial discipline, and delivers consistent, high-quality service to clients.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Operations Management and a proven ability to optimize processes and improve efficiency
  • Strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and support data-driven decision-making
  • Background in Finance and Accounting, including a solid understanding of financial principles and practices
  • Expertise in Financial Reporting with experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments
  • Strong proficiency in Sage Accounting (MANDATORY)
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and an understanding of compliance standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (relevant professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are a plus)
  • Experience with PAYE, pensions, and statutory compliance
  • Strong operational execution and organizational skills
