We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Finance and Operations Coordinator to oversee financial operations, compliance, and administrative functions across the business. This role is essential to strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and efficient day-to-day operations, and it supports strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end financial operations, including bank reconciliations, transaction processing in Xero, invoicing, and accounts receivable/payable
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, monitor cash flow, and provide variance analysis against operational reports
- Oversee payroll, superannuation, and ensure compliance with BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, and company tax requirements in coordination with external accountants
- Support budgeting and maintain strong financial controls, ensuring all expenses and records comply with company policies
- Manage operational and administrative activities including supplier coordination, logistics, insurance renewals, and handling claims
- Ensure compliance with audit, ISO, and regulatory requirements, including preparation of required reports (e.g. carbon reporting, tax residency documentation)
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a commercial, finance, or accounting role
- Strong hands-on experience with Xero
- Good understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements (BAS, PAYG, Super, Payroll Tax)
- Experience across bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective stakeholder communication skills
