Finance Administrator

A long-established and growing Irish business is seeking to appoint a Finance Administrator to join its busy finance team.

This is a broad and hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, organisation, and being part of a fast-moving business. You will support the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function, with a strong focus on purchase ledger and finance administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full purchase ledger process from invoice receipt through to payment
  • Match, code and process supplier invoices accurately
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve account queries
  • Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding invoices and payments
  • Manage accounts payable & receivable
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and cash allocation
  • Manger payroll administration.
  • Support sales ledger / accounts receivable
  • Maintain accurate finance records and filing systems
  • Assist with VAT returns and month-end processes
  • General finance administration and ad hoc support to the wider team

Ideal Background

  • Previous experience in a finance administration, accounts assistant or purchase ledger role
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good communication skills and professional manner
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong IT skills including Excel and finance systems
  • Positive, reliable and hands-on attitude
