Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end finance operations including bookkeeping, reconciliation, invoicing, payroll, and statutory compliance across multiple entities.
- Prepare and present accurate monthly financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and management reports to leadership for strategic decision-making.
- Manage tax compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and coordinate with external auditors and advisors for annual audits and regulatory filings.
- Design and implement internal controls, SOPs, and financial policies to ensure audit readiness and operational efficiency.
- Partner with founders and department heads to budget, track spend, and optimize profitability across programs and functions.
- Oversee vendor payments, expense management, and vendor reconciliation while ensuring financial discipline and transparency.
Skills & QualificationsMust-Have
- CA (Chartered Accountant) – mandatory
- QuickBooks
- Tally ERP 9
- GST compliance
- MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, dashboards)
- Financial reporting
Preferred
- Experience in edtech or SaaS startups
- Knowledge of Zoho Books or Xero
- Experience with internal audit or process automation
