HELMEPA, the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association, is looking for an experienced Finance & Accounting Operations Manager to join our team in Palaio Faliro, Athens.
In this role, you will oversee our day-to-day accounting operations, maintain a clear overview of the Association's annual budget, and support our financial management, reporting, and compliance, including the financial follow-up of our European-funded projects.
We are looking for a professional who brings:
- At least five years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial operations
- Strong hands-on accounting skills across payments, reconciliations, and reporting
- Solid experience in budgeting, budget monitoring, and financial reporting
- A sharp eye for detail and a high standard of accuracy
- Digital literacy, with the ability to work confidently with new systems, including AI tools
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Excel
- Excellent command of Greek and English
- Reliability and a strong sense of professional integrity and responsibility
Experience in a non-profit, association, or donor-funded environment, or in the shipping sector, will be considered an asset.
