The Role:
As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you will play an important role in Alver’s financial operations, This is a remote role based in the Netherlands, offering hands-on experience in accounting, reporting, cash flow management, and financial planning within a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and track accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements
- Support quarterly and annual closings, including the preparation of financial reports
- Monitor cash flow and support liquidity planning
- Review daily entries in the financial ERP system to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely updates
- Support management in financial analysis and longer-term strategic planning
- Act as a point of contact for finance-related matters with internal and external stakeholders
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Based in the Netherlands
- Currently authorized to work in the Netherlands without sponsorship
- Good understanding of financial processes and reporting
- Familiarity with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
- Previous experience in a startup environment is a plus
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
- Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
