JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The EVP of Franchise Operations will serve as a key member of our client's Executive Leadership Team, responsible for driving franchisee performance, operational excellence, and system-wide revenue growth across their national franchise network. This leader will oversee all franchisee-facing functions that directly impact unit economics, including operations, performance coaching, analytics, franchise support, and local marketing enablement.

The EVP will lead the development and execution of scalable strategies, systems, and support structures that improve franchisee profitability, strengthen operational consistency, and enhance the client experience while preserving the flexibility needed for local market success. This individual will bring deep franchising expertise, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to scale high-performing multi-unit systems through operational leadership, accountability, and partnership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Executive Leadership & Strategy

  • Collaborate with others on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to define and execute the strategic vision, growth roadmap, and operational priorities.
  • Align franchise operations with enterprise objectives to drive sustainable revenue growth and long-term system value.
  • Serve as a cultural leader, modeling accountability, collaboration, and leadership across the organization.

Franchise System Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of franchise operations, including onboarding, training, compliance, performance management, and franchise events.
  • Design and implement scalable systems and processes that enhance operational efficiency and franchisee profitability.
  • Establish, monitor, and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive system-wide insights, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure operational consistency and brand integrity across the franchise system while supporting appropriate local market adaptability.

Franchise Performance & Revenue Optimization

  • Own system-wide franchisee performance, including unit economics, revenue growth, profitability, and operational benchmarks.
  • Utilize operational and financial analytics to identify performance gaps, growth opportunities, and emerging system trends.
  • Lead franchise business coaching initiatives focused on improving employee recruitment, client acquisition, retention, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with franchise owners to drive sustainable same-store growth and long-term business success.
  • Establish performance standards and escalation frameworks to proactively address underperforming locations.

Franchisee Engagement & Support

  • Build and lead a high-performing Franchise Operations team that delivers proactive business coaching, operational accountability, and strategic guidance that improves franchisee performance and profitability.
  • Strengthen franchisee engagement through structured communication, field support, education programs, and peer networking initiatives.
  • Champion the voice of the franchisee within executive leadership, ensuring field realities inform corporate strategy and decision-making.

Growth, Expansion & Market Optimization

  • Drive initiatives that maximize territory performance, market penetration, and same-store growth across the system.
  • Oversee operational readiness and performance ramp-up for new franchise openings.
  • Evaluate and support integration of new service lines, partnerships, and innovations that enhance client experience and franchise revenue streams.

Compliance, Governance & Risk Management

  • Partner with Legal to enforce operational policies, brand standards, and franchise agreement compliance.
  • Oversee franchise compliance processes, corrective action plans, and, when necessary, franchise terminations in alignment with system standards and legal requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and industry regulations.

Vendor & Strategic Partner Management

  • Oversee the evaluation, selection, management, and performance of approved system vendors and strategic partners.
  • Ensure vendor relationships align with franchisee operational needs, business objectives, and brand standards.
  • Develop and optimize vendor programs that enhance franchisee efficiency, profitability, and operational scalability.
  • Oversee annual sponsorship and vendor partnership revenue generation in alignment with organizational financial objectives.
  • Continuously assess vendor performance, franchisee adoption, and ROI to ensure value across the franchise system.

Franchise Marketing Enablement

  • Oversee franchise marketing support functions designed to drive local market growth and franchisee success.
  • Ensure franchise owners have access to effective marketing tools, customizable web assets, approved vendors, and localized growth resources. Partner with the marketing team to develop scalable lead-generation support strategies that enhance local visibility and client acquisition.
  • Evaluate and optimize marketing support tools, platforms, and vendor relationships based on franchisee adoption and business outcomes.

Data, Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Leverage data analytics to inform strategic decisions, optimize performance, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the franchise network.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in franchising, preferably in service-based industries
  • Deep understanding of franchise business models, including FDD structure, franchisee economics, royalty models, and territory optimization.
  • Experience managing field operations teams supporting geographically dispersed franchise networks.
  • Proven ability to balance franchisee independence with brand standard enforcement.
  • Proven success improving franchisee unit economics, operational performance, and same-store revenue growth.
  • Experience developing operational playbooks, performance coaching frameworks, and scalable franchise support systems.
  • Advanced financial modeling and multi-unit unit-level economics expertise.
  • Experience improving franchisee EBITDA and system-wide profitability.
  • Strong data fluency with CRM, franchise management systems, and business intelligence tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives across franchise networks.
  • Proven track record of scaling operations within a multi-unit franchise environment
  • Strong knowledge of franchise compliance, support structures, and operational best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results through influence, communication and relationship-building.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
