Role Purpose

We are seeking two high-performing Business Development Specialists ( Events Industry ) to spearhead our market expansion. This is a 360-degree sales role requiring a blend of "hunter" instincts and "consultative" expertise. You will be responsible for identifying high-value opportunities, leading complex pitch processes, and ensuring a seamless transition from a winning concept to a live event.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Growth & Lead Generation

  • Network Expansion: Proactively identify and engage C-suite stakeholders and marketing heads in local and international firms.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the company at industry events, utilizing a deep understanding of our portfolio and history to secure interest.
  • Outreach Excellence: Execute independent cold-approach strategies, social selling (LinkedIn), and networking to maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify "white space" opportunities for our services.

2. The Pitch & Proposal Lifecycle

  • The Brief: Lead discovery sessions to extract high-quality briefs, ensuring all technical and emotional client needs are captured.
  • RFP/RFQ Analysis: Deconstruct complex tender documents to identify key win-themes and potential project risks.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Direct the creative and technical teams to ensure our technical proposals are innovative, feasible, and aligned with the client’s vision.
  • Financial Strategy: Craft and manage detailed financial bids, ensuring competitive pricing that protects company margins.
  • Visual Storytelling: Independently build high-impact, modern presentations using tech tools (e.g., Canva, or PowerPoint) with a clear, logical narrative.

3. Operational Bridge & Data Management

  • Seamless Handover: Lead internal kickoff meetings to ensure the Project Management team fully understands the promised deliverables.
  • CRM Discipline: Maintain 100% accuracy in our CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce/Odoo), tracking all communications and providing accurate monthly revenue forecasts.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in the Events Industry or a high-stakes service sector (e.g., Production, Luxury Marketing, Agency).
  • Proven Track Record: Verifiable success in securing large-scale projects and managing multi-national key accounts.
  • Resilience: Ability to remain calm and professional under the high-pressure deadlines typical of the event industry.
  • Tech Literacy: Expert-level proficiency in modern presentation software and CRM systems.
  • Communication: Superior verbal and written command; able to present complex ideas simply and persuasively.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

The performance of these roles will be evaluated based on:

  1. Conversion Rate: The percentage of RFPs/proposals converted into "Won" business.
  2. Pipeline Value: The total value of qualified leads generated per quarter.
  3. Data Accuracy: Consistency and detail of CRM updates.
  4. Account Growth: Success in upselling additional services to existing clients.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

  • Proficiency in multiple languages (for international client management).
  • An existing network ("Black Book") of contacts in the Corporate, Tech, or Luxury sectors.
  • Basic technical understanding of AV, lighting, and stage production.
