Savvi Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a valued client within the Financial Services sector to appoint a Finance Director / European Finance Director.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and rapidly growing regulated Financial Services business at a pivotal stage of its journey. Reporting directly to the Group CFO and Luxembourg CEO, you will lead the finance function for both the Luxembourg Bank and Irish Branch, playing a key role in shaping the business as it continues to grow. Working within a collaborative, high-performing team and leveraging cutting-edge technology, this role offers genuine long-term career progression and the opportunity to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the European finance function across the Luxembourg Bank and Irish Branch.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury support, liquidity oversight, financial control, audit coordination, tax and board reporting.
- Manage finance operations within a regulated Financial Services environment.
- Build strong relationships with regulators, auditors, senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and help develop a scalable finance function to support future growth.
The Ideal Candidate
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA).
- Previous Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience within a regulated Financial Services firm, bank or credit institution.
- Essential: Proven experience managing cross-border European accounting, including EU VAT and reverse charge mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of governance and regulatory requirements within a regulated environment.
- Hands-on, adaptable and comfortable operating within a growing, entrepreneurial business.
- Experience with regulatory reporting or branch accounting would be advantageous but is not essential.
