Beacon Talent is partnering on a confidential search for an Equity Research Associate to join a highly respected, institutionally focused financial services platform.
This is an opportunity to join a firm with a long-standing presence in the market and a differentiated position across institutional equities, trading, capital markets, prime services, and research. We are seeking a sharp, intellectually curious research professional who wants to build a career in public markets research within a collaborative, high-performance environment. This individual will work closely with senior analysts and contribute to the research process from idea generation through published output and client support.
What You’ll Do
- Support senior equity research professionals in coverage of public companies within a defined sector
- Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks, earnings previews, updates, and industry dashboards
- Conduct fundamental company and industry research using public filings, earnings calls, expert conversations, channel checks, market data, and other relevant sources
- Track sector news flow, competitive developments, macro factors, and company-specific catalysts
- Assist in writing research notes, earnings commentaries, thematic pieces, and other written product for institutional clients
- Prepare analysts for earnings seasons, management meetings, conferences, and investor calls
- Help synthesize complex information into clear, differentiated investment insights
- Partner cross-functionally with sales, trading, corporate access, and other internal stakeholders to support the broader franchise
- Contribute to a high-quality, detail-oriented research process with strong compliance and documentation standards
What We’re Looking For
- 1–4 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, valuation, corporate finance, public markets analysis, or another rigorous analytical environment
- Strong financial modeling and accounting skills
- Ability to interpret SEC filings, earnings materials, and company disclosures with precision
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate investment ideas clearly and concisely
- High intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in markets, businesses, and industries
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a high personal bar for accuracy
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; progress toward CFA is a plus
