THE OPPORTUNITY

A premier public-listed global investment bank is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and talented Vice President for their growing middle market and small-cap investment banking and capital markets practice. The VP will play a key role in supporting the executions of equity and equity‑linked transactions alongside its peers in the investment banking, ECM, sales and trading teams. You will be responsible for managing the deal lifecycle in coordination with all key stakeholders. The overall objective of this role is to leverage your skills to evaluate end to end processes with the mindset to drive meaningful change. You will be reporting to the Head of Capital Markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the execution and settlement of new issuance within the ECM scope, from pre-pricing through post-closing with the Syndicate parties
  • Participate in dialogue with investor clients on live deals
  • Coordinate execution workflows from launch through pricing, allocation, confirmations, and settlement across ECM transactions
  • Partner with internal Operations and external parties to confirm wiring instructions, delivery instructions, settlement timelines, and post-close confirmations
  • Maintain execution checklists, timelines, and open-item trackers; proactively escalate issues and drive items to closure
  • Manage syndicate communications and documentation, coordinate with ECM members on inputs, allocation logistics, and post-pricing mechanics
  • Support allocation and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, approvals, and a clear audit trail
  • Build direct cross-functional relationships with bankers in product and regional business units
  • Preform a deep-rooted analysis of daily functions and recommend automation or procedural enhancements to the entire deal lifecycle
  • Develop, implement and track appropriate KPIs (key performance indicator), SLAs (service level agreement) and metrics (deal priced/closed, volume, settlement rate etc.) for the senior oversight
  • Oversee deal related controls, including but not limited to deal accounting and compliance
  • Conduct meetings with front-to-back stakeholders with the ability to articulate processes in depth while having a forward-looking, critical thinking, and controlled approach

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate Degree required, MBA or other Graduate Degree is a plus but not required; minimum 5 years of total experiences in ECM Syndicate operation
  • Subject matter expert in at least one area of deal flow (Orderbook Indication and allocation; UW Source/Euroclear/DTCC; Final Settlement)
  • Deep fluency in ECM dynamics
  • Advanced knowledge of Regulatory rules in accordance with New Issuances; FINRA/TRACE/5131/QIB/Reg M/S etc.
  • Collaborative mindset, professionalism, and the ability to thrive under tight timelines
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior talent
  • Self-starter who consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of basic AI tools and applications

LICENSING & COMPLIANCE

Registration for FINRA Series 99 preferred but not required. Subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements.
