Role Summary
As an Enterprise Risk Management, you will be responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring, and managing market risks arising from fluctuations in interest rates, foreign exchange, equities, and commodities. You will develop robust risk models, conduct stress testing, and collaborate closely with Treasury and Investment teams to ensure all activities align with our risk appetite and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment & Monitoring: Continuously monitor financial market trends and assess their potential impact on the company’s portfolio and asset allocations.
- Financial Modeling: Develop, implement, and maintain market risk measurement frameworks, including Value at Risk, Expected Shortfall, and sensitivity analyses.
- Stress Testing: Scenario-test investment portfolios against historical and hypothetical market shocks to evaluate resilience.
- Reporting & Insights: Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports, dashboards, and limit-utilization updates for senior management and risk committees.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to internal risk policies and external regulatory requirements; promptly escalate any risk limit breaches.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Treasury, Investment, and Finance teams to provide risk insights and evaluate the risk-return profile of new products or strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics.
- Professional certifications like FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA are highly preferred.
- Experience: 6-8 years of proven experience in market risk management, treasury risk, or investment analysis within banking, asset management, or corporate treasury.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VBA is a plus). Strong hands-on experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools (such as Python, R, or SQL) or risk management systems.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, acute attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Languages: Professional fluency in English (both written and spoken).
