I. Position Overview
The Director of Project Management is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and management of the organization's key initiatives, strategic projects, and the PMO (Project Management Office). This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality, while remaining aligned with the company's overarching business strategy.
Through the establishment of standardized project management systems, the optimization of project workflows, and the enhancement of risk controls and cross-departmental collaboration, this position drives improvements in the organization's overall project execution efficiency and operational capabilities.
II. Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution Management
Develop and drive the implementation of key corporate projects.
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Facilitate the efficient execution of cross-functional projects.
2. PMO System Development
Establish and optimize the Project Management Office (PMO) framework.
Define project management processes, standards, and governance mechanisms.
Establish guidelines for project scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation.
Enhance the organization's project management maturity level.
3. Project Resource & Budget Management
Coordinate project budgets, human resources, and resource allocation.
Manage project costs and optimize resource utilization efficiency.
Refine project prioritization and resource coordination mechanisms.
Support annual project planning and budget formulation.
4. Risk Management & Problem Solving
Establish mechanisms for project risk identification and early warning.
Manage project risks, interdependencies, and change control processes.
Resolve critical issues and conflicts encountered during project execution.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Management
Coordinate collaboration among Product, R&D, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams.
Promote transparent management of project requirements and objectives.
Enhance organizational collaboration efficiency and communication channels.
Ensure project objectives remain aligned with overall business strategies.
6. Project Performance & Data Analysis
Establish project KPIs and a performance evaluation framework.
Track key project metrics, including progress, quality, cost, and ROI.
Generate project operational analysis reports and executive-level briefings.
Drive the development of data-driven project management practices.
7. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Optimize project delivery processes and management methodologies.
Champion the implementation of Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid project management approaches.
Establish systems for project retrospectives and knowledge management.
Enhance organizational agility and delivery efficiency.
8. Project Management Tools & Digitalization
Administer project collaboration and management platforms (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
Drive the implementation of project automation and data visualization solutions.
Enhance project transparency and operational efficiency.
Support the execution of corporate digital transformation initiatives.
III. Qualifications
1. Educational Background
Bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
MBA preferred.
Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master are a plus.
2. Work Experience
20+ years of experience in project management or project delivery.
10+ years of experience in team leadership/management.
Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
Background in SaaS, Internet, Technology, or FinTech industries is preferred.
