Overview: A top client of ours is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead and modernize its enterprise procurement function. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for advancing procurement strategy, optimizing purchasing operations, strengthening supplier partnerships, and leveraging technology to improve business performance across a geographically distributed organization. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic sourcing expertise, procurement systems leadership, operational partnership, and team development experience. This individual will have the opportunity to influence organizational decision-making, improve purchasing effectiveness, enhance spend visibility, and build scalable procurement processes that support continued growth. The Director of Procurement will lead procurement operations across a diverse and decentralized environment. This role will oversee purchasing processes, sourcing initiatives, supplier management programs, procurement technology platforms, and inventory-related strategies while partnering closely with finance, operations, accounts payable, and executive leadership. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline
- 8+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, supply chain, purchasing, or procurement operations experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing procurement teams and initiatives
- Experience leading procurement transformation, process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives
- Strong knowledge of source-to-pay and procure-to-pay processes
- Experience with procurement, purchasing, ERP, or spend-management technology platforms
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and organizational change
- Strong supplier negotiation and contract management experience
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting multi-site, decentralized, or field-based operations is strongly preferred
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare services experience or other complex multi-location environments
- Procurement technology implementations or optimization projects
- Spend analytics, supplier performance management, inventory optimization, and operational reporting
- Leading teams through growth, transformation, or process redesign initiatives
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
