Role Overview
The Director, FP&A will be responsible for building and scaling the company’s financial planning and analysis capability. This role sits at the core of decision-making, translating operational performance into clear financial insight and supporting leadership with forward-looking analysis.
You will work across multiple business units, helping to establish structure in a fast-moving environment while ensuring the business is equipped with accurate forecasting, reporting, and planning processes. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can operate with pace, bring clarity to complexity, and contribute meaningfully as the company evolves toward a public company standard.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning models
- Build and maintain scalable financial models that reflect a multi-entity, growth-focused business
- Continuously refine forecasting accuracy through close partnership with operational teams
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Deliver timely and insightful analysis on financial and operational performance
- Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks across business units, including manufacturing, R&D, and commercial functions
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles with clear variance analysis and actionable insights
Business Partnering
- Work closely with functional leaders across the organization to support decision-making and resource allocation
- Provide financial input on pricing, margin optimization, and cost control initiatives
- Act as a bridge between finance and the broader business, ensuring alignment on financial objectives
M&A & Integration Support
- Support financial evaluation of acquisition targets, including modeling and scenario analysis
- Assist with integration of acquired businesses into planning and reporting frameworks
- Help align newly acquired operations with overall financial strategy and performance tracking
Process & Infrastructure Development
- Build and improve FP&A processes, tools, and systems to support scale
- Support implementation and optimization of financial systems, including ERP and planning tools
- Drive improvements in data quality, reporting automation, and internal controls
Public Company Readiness
- Support the transition toward public company standards in forecasting, reporting, and financial discipline
- Assist in preparing materials for senior leadership, board discussions, and investor-related activities
- Ensure alignment between internal reporting and external expectations as the company evolves
Candidate Profile
- Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles within a high-growth or operationally complex environment
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capability, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Exposure to multi-entity businesses, ideally with manufacturing, defense, or industrial operations
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes in a dynamic setting
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and financial planning tools
- Understanding of how finance supports decision-making in a scaling organization
