Our client is a globally recognised 5-star luxury lifestyle resort in Bali, known for its vibrant atmosphere, innovative dining concepts, and high-energy guest experiences. They are seeking an accomplished and strategic Director of Finance to lead the property's financial operations and provide sound business leadership.

This role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring strong governance and controls, and partnering with the executive team to maximize profitability while supporting the overall business strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or professional accounting qualification would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in senior finance leadership within luxury hospitality or resort environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing finance teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate financial data into strategic business decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing audits, cash flow, working capital, and owner reporting requirements.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound business judgment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Serve as the property's strategic financial business partner and contribute to the development and execution of the overall business strategy.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes and provide ongoing financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze financial trends and market conditions to support sustainable business growth.

Financial Management and Controls

  • Establish and maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard company assets and mitigate business risks.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, profit and loss reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee working capital management and cash flow to support operational and ownership objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
  • Monitor taxation matters and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Executive Partnership and Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and Executive Committee on financial and operational matters.
  • Communicate financial performance and business insights in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with ownership representatives and key stakeholders.
  • Support department leaders in identifying cost efficiencies and driving improved financial performance.

Team Leadership and Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure team members receive the appropriate training and development opportunities.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and strengthen financial awareness throughout the organization.

Governance and Compliance

  • Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvements to financial processes and controls to enhance operational effectiveness.
