Role Overview

The Finance Director – India is a senior leadership role responsible for partnering closely with the India CEO and Palladium Global CFO to drive the financial performance, discipline, and strategic direction of the India business.

This role replaces the traditional controllership construct and is positioned as a business-facing finance leadership role, accountable for ensuring that financial performance is actively managed, forecasted, and optimized to support both operational delivery and long-term growth.

The Finance Director will lead the India Finance function and act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO, translating business strategy into financially grounded plans, strengthening performance visibility, and driving accountability across revenue, margin, and cash outcomes.

Your primary responsibilities will revolve around India Business and Project Financial Management (FM) and in particular the incumbent will be expected to:

Operational Responsibilities

  • Deliver and continuously strengthen financial performance management for the India business, ensuring revenue, NSR, EBITDA, margin, and cash outcomes are actively tracked and managed
  • Establish robust financial planning, forecasting, and reporting discipline, including rolling forecasts and forward-looking analysis
  • Maintain clear visibility of pipeline, backlog, revenue sources, margin, and cash performance  Drive disciplined billing, collections, and working capital management to ensure strong cash conversion.
  • Ensure financial performance is actively managed (not only reported) with clear accountability across the finance function.
  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end close, financial reporting, and variance analysis in alignment with Global Finance standards
  • Implement and lead cash, profit, and business forecasts aligned to strategic and operational plans.
  • Strengthen financial systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to support decision-making

Statutory Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee preparation and submission of statutory financial statements and reports
  • Manage external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit items
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and statutory obligations
  • Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and risk management framework.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Partner with the India CEO and leadership team to translate business strategy into financially viable plans
  • Provide financial evaluation and advice on investments, growth opportunities, and resource allocation
  • Drive financial visibility and insight to support proactive business decision-making
  • Strengthen financial acumen across business leaders and project teams
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and develop mitigation and value creation strategies
  • Lead and develop the India Finance team to ensure high performance, accountability, and capability building

  • Revenue and Net Service Revenue (NSR)
  • EBITDA and margin
  • Free cash flow

Reporting Structure

  • Direct reporting: India CEO
  • Matrix reporting: Palladium Global CFO

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field
  • CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA or equivalent
  • Strong experience in business finance leadership roles
  • Proven track record of partnering with senior business leaders and driving financial performance
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, project accounting, and commercial models
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high-performing teams
