Responsibilities
- Manage forensic accounting engagements and ensure high-quality work (insurance claim quantification, fraud investigations, litigation-related damage assessments)
- Lead the planning and execution of investigative and dispute-related projects, analyze financial data, and prepare recommendations
- Review and finalize forensic accounting reports
- Communicate with clients, lawyers, insurers, and internal teams to discuss file issues and present findings
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and oversee key operational aspects of engagements
- Prepare schedules, analyses, and reports for forensic accounting files
- Apply technical expertise, laws, regulations, and standards to formulate recommendations
- Participate in technical work and business development initiatives
Use sound judgment to make decisions on both routine and complex matters
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in forensic accounting, including experience with commercial insurance loss quantification
- CPA designation required; additional certifications (CIP, CBV, CFE, CFF) are considered assets
- Strong analytical, accounting, and auditing skills
- Solid knowledge of insurance loss quantification and claims consulting processes
- Advanced understanding of professional standards, regulations, and industry best practices
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, self-driven, and motivated to lead
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
