Job summary:

The Deputy Head of Finance has a primary responsibility to coordinate and functionally supervise the preparation of the Branch’s accounting, internal and external financial reporting and analysis (e.g. liquidity reporting), regulatory reporting (UK/FR/EU) and adherence to control framework and associated reporting;
Covers for the Head of Finance when absent. Tax-related subjects: Monitors and follow VAT calculation and payments up; Assists with Corporation Tax/Banking Surcharge preparation; Assists with ad-hoc queries/calculation (e.g. Bank Levy, CATA).
Project work: Functional specifications to enhance/improve processes; Assists with tests and homologation processes; Participates to transversal and/or HO projects; Assists with ad hoc requests relating to IT/projects for the Branch.

Required skills/ experience:

5 -10 years Finance Industry experience – Essential
Experience working for an Investment Bank – Essential
Good knowledge of Accounting / Financial control / Financial reporting – Essential
Experience of / with AT calculation and payments up; Assists with Corporation Tax/Banking Surcharge preparation; Assists with ad-hoc queries/calculation (e.g. Bank Levy, CATA).- Essential*
Ability or experience to deputise for the Head of Finance on times of absence.- Essential
Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject area
English – fluent
French – Desirable
