Primary Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Capital Management
- Executive Partnership: Assist the CEO on all strategic and tactical matters including budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting.
- Capital Funding: Initiate and maintain high-level relationships with major lenders and capital providers to secure new funding.
- Subsidiary Oversight: Oversee the financial management and performance of all international subsidiaries.
- Planning Initiatives: Provide consultative support to other managers through advanced financial information analyses and recommendations.
2. Financial Reporting & SEC Compliance
- Regulatory Filings: Prepare and file all federal, state, and third-party financial reports to ensure full compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC, and IRS requirements.
- Audit & SOX: Act as the primary liaison to the external auditor and the Audit Committee, ensuring the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards.
- Financial Accuracy: Oversee accounting controls and systems to guarantee timely, accurate financial and statistical reporting.
- Board Relations: Prepare and present comprehensive financial information for board meetings, investors, and analysts.
3. Operational Excellence
- Financial Planning: Coordinate and report on the annual company financial plan, including forecasts and budgets.
- Cost Control: Responsible for achieving cash flow targets, managing project costing, and implementing rigorous cost and expense controls.
- Policy Development: Develop and administer both short- and long-range department goals, including billing and auditing procedures.
4. Team & Stakeholder Management
- External Representation: Represent the company’s financial interests to the media, government agencies, and the general public.
- People Leadership: Direct and manage department personnel, including coordinating workloads, performing evaluations, and staff counseling.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Education: Equivalent of a university undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field.
2. Experience:
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment or public accounting.
- AICPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable expertise in statutory accounting.
3. Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and federal/state financial regulations.
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare sophisticated projections.
4. Skills:
- Language: Excellent English writing and speaking skills.
- Communication: Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven ability to motivate, lead, and train a professional finance team.
