Role Overview

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Vice CEO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, working in close partnership with the CEO and Board to translate strategy into execution. This role is responsible for overseeing core business operations, driving cross-functional alignment, and strengthening the company’s management systems, governance, and operational discipline.

This is a high-impact leadership role suited for an executive with strong general management capabilities, experience scaling organizations, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO to develop and execute corporate strategy, annual operating plans, and long-term growth initiatives
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across key functions (e.g., operations, finance, strategy, compliance, people, and business execution)
  • Drive operational excellence, KPI management, and performance accountability across the organization
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve processes, systems, and decision-making efficiency
  • Support organizational design, leadership development, and succession planning
  • Act as a senior representative of the company in interactions with investors, strategic partners, and external stakeholders
  • Step in for the CEO when required and provide leadership continuity

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience, including senior executive or general management roles
  • Proven track record in scaling businesses, managing complexity, and leading multi-functional teams
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
  • Experience working with private equity, venture-backed, or institutional-investor-led organizations is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership presence, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, and high-accountability environment
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
