About the Role:
Finhub’s Collections Team is expanding, and we are looking for a sharp, persuasive, and resilient Collections Specialist to manage and recover outstanding balances from defaulted merchant accounts. This isn’t a script-reading call center job. You will act as a financial problem solver, using skip-tracing tools to track down debtors, negotiating high-stakes settlements, and collaborating with internal teams.

- Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of delinquent merchant accounts, proactively contacting business owners to secure outstanding balances.
- Evaluate merchant financial situations to negotiate settlements and structure realistic, binding payment plans.
- Investigate to locate hard-to-reach debtors and uncover new contact channels.
- Work closely with the accounts receivable team to align on recovery strategy.
- Keep flawless, real-time records of all communication, account statuses, and payment agreements in our database.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly recovery goals.
Key Requirements:
- Strong English skills (both written and spoken). Spanish is a plus.
- Proven experience in phone-heavy roles (Collections, Sales, or High-Volume Customer Service)
- Professional in writing emails.
- The emotional intelligence and patience to handle stressful, high-stakes financial conversations professionally.
- Comfortable navigating databases, CRM software, and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently, pivot quickly, and solve problems without being micromanaged.
